ONLINE SUPPORT GROUPS
Most, if not all of the following groups will require you to apply for membership to them - this greatly reduces the amount of spam that will come through to you
Legg Perthes Support Group - you will find answers, support, encouragement and friends here, all of whom either had Perthes or have a child with Perthes
Information-Perthes - is open to all parents of children diagnosed with Legg Calve Perthes. Discussions, suggestions and support offered
Adult Perthes Survivors - this group is specifically aimed at adults who had Perthes as children and are now experiencing health issues either directly or indirectly attributable to either Perthes or the treatments received
Surface Hippy - is for sharing information and experiences among patients who have had hip resurfacing surgery
Although I have these groups listed, I will not endorse one over another and the choice of whether or not to join a support group, and then which one to choose, is entirely up to the individual
LINKS TO ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT OPTIONS
Please follow the links to websites offering information on alternative treatment options that may be of benefit
Bowen Therapy - is a holistic, gentle, effective, non-invasive muscle and connective tissue therapy that stimulates the bodys own natural resources to heal itself. The practitioner delivers signals to the nervous system at specific locations (on muscles, tendons, ligaments, or nerves), and the body does the rest.
